How much does a typical master franchise cost?

What ongoing support does Pita Pit International provide for the master franchisee?

We coordinate with you on the various aspects of your business for the first few years. We provide consultation on menu items, locations, design, equipment, marketing and branding. I'm interested in opening only one or a limited number of Pita Pit restaurants in my country - can I apply for a franchise agreement with Pita Pit International?

No. We are only interested in selling master franchises. This gives you the exclusive development rights to franchise Pita Pit restaurants and to open your own Pita Pit restaurant.

As a master franchisee, do I have to open a minimum number of franchise restaurants?

Yes. The agreement between you and Pita Pit International includes a "minimum development schedule" that obliges you to open a certain number of restaurants over a certain number of years. This schedule is different from country to country and is agreed upon during the negotiation process.

Pita bread is not available in my country/territory - what are my options?

Generally, you can import the pita bread directly from us.

If all the equipment necessary to open a Pita Pit restaurant can be acquired locally at lower cost, do I still have to get the Pita Pit International equipment package?

We suggest that for the first couple of restaurants you buy our full package. That way, you can examine all the equipment in detail. Thereafter, we encourage you to develop your local suppliers. This cuts your costs and generates a stream of revenues from concessions you receive from these suppliers.

Can I adapt the Pita Pit menu to the local tastes and cultural preferences of my territory?

Yes! In fact, this is exactly what we want. Provided you obtain our okay and keep within the parameters of the Pita Pit brand, we encourage you to get creative about menu items so that your Pita Pit restaurants become a local success.

How big is a typical Pita Pit restaurant?

We don't believe in "one size fits all." The idea is to find the design that best fits your locations. This may range from a counter-type operation in a food-court or a bus terminal, to a restaurant that accommodates 200 customers, a play area for children, and a drive-through. In many cases, cultural norms dictate the location's type and size.

After owning the Pita Pit master franchise for a number of years, can I sell it?

Yes. The master franchise agreement contains conditions for all transfers.

Can I open my own restaurants without franchising them out?

Yes. In some cases opening your own restaurants initially may be the best way to proceed. However, you may find that in the long-term franchising may be more profitable for you.
